Outside Sales Representative with a focus in Heavy Construction Equipment in Hartford CT
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role focuses on selling heavy equipment to construction, industrial, and agricultural businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of heavy machinery and equipment solutions. You’ll represent top brands like Toro, Husqvarna, Honda, Chapin, Paladin, and more, providing exceptional service and solutions to customers in the construction and heavy equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Provide equipment demonstrations and explain product features and benefits.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and financing options with customers.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and support.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and company goals.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in heavy construction equipment or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of construction tools, power equipment, and job site requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the territory.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of $100,000–$120,000.
