Part Time Bookkeeper
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and familiar with standard accounting procedures and bookkeeping software. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible hours in a professional and supportive environment.
This will be a remote position but must be able to get to Southington CT
12-15 hours a week
$25-30 an hour
Responsibilities:
· QuickBooks Proficiency
- Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
- Record and reconcile subcontractor payments and deposits
- Post and pay vendor bills
· Invoicing & Billing
- Prepare and send monthly invoices to customers
- Organize billing sheets and generate customer-specific invoices
- Handle customer email correspondence regarding billing and payment status
- Invoicing
· Deposits & Reconciliation
- Record customer payments and deposits
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
· Payroll & Labor Tracking
- Organize and upload employee hours on a bi-weekly basis
- Post payroll journal entries once payroll is completed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred but not required)
