We are helping a Connecticut-based commercial piping contractor hire an experienced Mechanical Estimator to work on projects such as Hospitals, Schools, High rises, and more! This is a Permanent Direct Hire role.

Responsibilities:

•  Analyzing mechanical blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Preparing accurate material and labor estimates.
• Collaborating with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to get estimates
• Identifying potential risks to a project and ways to mitigate them

Skills/Qualifications:

• Supporting reporting efforts and estimate summary presentations
• Ability to interpret engineering data and layouts
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
•  Self-motivation – a person who will act on a potential problem, not just react when something happens.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Quick Pen required
