Maintenance Tech
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse team in Norton Ma. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all warehouse equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep operations running smoothly and prevent downtime.
Hours are 6:00am -2:30pm Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on warehouse equipment,
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and disruptions to warehouse operations.
- Have experience with electrical, welding, mill wright and lath.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems.
- Work with the warehouse management team to develop and improve maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills to maintain maintenance logs and reports.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various warehouse conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
